It seems like only yesterday when marketing was so simple. In business school the basics of marketing used to involve the four Ps: Product, Price, Promotion and Place. Today, who knows how many other Ps have been added to marketing. Buzz words such as integrated marketing, internet marketing, relationship marketing, guerilla marketing and other marketing theories abound. It seems that every now and then a marketing guru comes up with his own marketing strategy.

Internet marketing by far is the most aggressive if not the most popular marketing tool today. With the advent of the internet, social networking websites and that famous “tube” website, it seems that internet marketing is one of the most effective ways to reach teenagers and adults. Blogs, social networking websites and website advertising are the most popular methods of creating or increasing product or brand awareness. Events are announced and passed on by millions via mobile marketing. Every marketing campaign these days involves the internet as a vital medium.
