The success of the company always depends on how good the marketing strategy is in place. Affiliate marketing is a marketing strategy that is internet- based. In this scheme, the revenue is shared between the website owner and the merchant. Ads are posted on the website to draw in customers who will then land to the merchant’s site and hopefully convert that website visit to a sale.

There are three ways to earn money in affiliate marketing:

~Pay Per Click – the affiliate website gets paid every time a prospective client leaves the site and click on the merchant’s website
~Pay Per Sale – commission or percentage of the sale that resulted from the advertising posted on the affiliates site
~Pay Per Lead – this is the amount paid by the merchant to the affiliate every time a potential customer signs up at the merchant’s website (this is the result of the ad posted on the affiliate’s site.
